My Curly Horses
I first became aware of this horse breed in the early 1980's due to an article in Mother Earth News magazine.
After reading a description of the gentle, intelligent and curious nature of these horses, I knew that someday I
wanted a horse like this.
That someday arrived in the fall of 2004, when I purchased Shiloh (*Magic Trix) from Shelly White in Canada
www.curlystandardplace.com. Only 7 months old, Shiloh was transported by horse trailer from British
Columbia to my home in northeast Kansas. She made the long journey with ease, stepping off the trailer fresh
and eager to explore her new home.
Later that year in December, Blue (*Mountain Blues) joined me from Montana, followed by Poca (*Lady's
Polkadot) at the beginning of 2007, and finally Glory (*Shines Like Grace) in the spring of 2007. Glory is a
full sister to Shiloh.
I have to say, Curlies may not cause allergies, but they certainly ARE contagious! Some people say it is like
eating potato chips, you can't have just one. To see more pictures, click on the horse's name or photo below -
